Another 350 Sport

Here's the new addition to the garage: not quite as shiny as my others but it seems sound underneath the, er, patina and the engine runs. The idea is to use my Valentini fairing, tank and seat, keeping the bike otherwise standard so that it can be put back to original in the future. I'm really not sure about that Campetella rear disc brake though.

Here's what the bike should look like, and I'm quite tempted by the white and blue colour scheme - it'll make a change from red! This project could take a few weeks...

That looks like a nice project - where do you find these things?

Mark,

Is it worth looking closer at the rear disc conversion and seeing if it can be replicated with ease?

I've always found the stock rear disc setup to be rather oversensitive.

The 180mm drum is more than adequate heat wise. When I did a Moto gymkhana on my Sport, the organisers commented on the likelihood of overheating the rear brake, but it simply wasn't an issue.

The bike and the fairing both came from the For Sale section on this forum, and the Valentini tank and seat from Mr Guru. And Mike, did you really mean 'replicate' or did you mean 'replace?' I'd rather revert to the drum rear brake - neater, probably lighter and quite adequate for a 3 1/2.

Replicate. Some people prefer discs.
