Help can you identify a Morini Single

Post by nicknorton »

Hi,

I am new here so I hope you can help. My mate has just bought a house in Italy and has found a Morini single out the back of the property. He has no internet so no pics yet. but has texted me the Frame Number - A21733 and for what it is worth the Reg Number is AT1 3851. Cant find an engine number yet

He says the cylinder barrel looks large and thought it would be a 500cc but a quick look at the net tells me it would be a 150/175/250.

Talk about being jammy! I am of course very envious. If any of you guys could help out with a clue as to what this is it would be great.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick,

It's a 175 Tursismo. If the grey paint is original it could be about 1954. Is the coil up inside the tank, in a tubular container? If so it's a very early one.

Cheers

Pete
