350 ...bit of a daft question about bulbs

Post by sikadellic »

Hello as stated above a silly one, I have a kanguro 350 x 1983
I bought it as a non runner, she is now running, so I am on to electrics, I have put in a new 6 volt battery, and need to replace the headlight bulb and instrument lights. When I took the old headlight bulb out it said 12v 35w, is this right ? and as for those little push in jobs no markings at all should they be 12v or 6v ?
oh and one other thing I have found no fuses anywhere ! despite every wiring diagram I have looked at telling me there should be a fuse box. Ok so am I being really dumb ? Help me if you can please thanks Simon.

The X3 went to all 12v due to the electric starter.

Hi, early kick start only Kanguros and Camels had a 6V DC/12 AC system.
The alternator stator and regulator supplies 12V AC to the headlight and a DC supply to charge the 6V battery from which all other lights and the horn get their power.
So everything is 6V except the 12V headlight bulb.

Trust this helps
