Supercharged Morini will get a 250J

Post by smotorboy »

Hello all,

Just in airfreighted from Italy is a 250 J for the Red Baron Land Speed Bike.

We are looking at using it in the 2025 race season if the overhaul goes well.

Stay tuned for how things go by following us on Instagram:

Good luck with the 250, they’re lovely little bikes.

interesting project Robert and Miss Amy.

How strict is the 250cc class, there is a lot of meat on those liners

And thanks to Morini modularity - a lot from other capacity machines is interchangeable.

The torque settings for the 250 2C need to come from the 250 2C user manual and not from the blue book as that only applies to the 250 single

Have fun!

All sorts of possibilities I think - short of a 350 lump going in ;)

Might be able to fit bigger valves and seats from the 350 (or even 350 heads) if the head castings are the same ? Though may have to 'relieve' the bore to accommodate the exhaust valve in particular.

I speed hill climbed a stripped down 350 with a 250 engine in it for one season. No tuning other than no air filter. Wasn't the slowest 250 in the class but it was a bit wheezy. The CB250RS machines had more power.
