Early 350 headlamp

Post by dsamways »

Right, now that we've cleared up the lighting switch issue, can anyone help with a headlamp lens?

I've got a 6" CEV headlamp and as I've imported the machine from France the low beam dips to the right. I take it that to get an MOT I need to change the headlamp lens to a UK spec item. Anyone got one or knows where to obtain one that won't cost a king's ransom?

Thanks David

Hi, I bought a new headlamp from NLM, pretty good chrome and a nice bright sealed halogen, proper lighting for night riding, wasn't expensive, around £40. I know it's not original but worth it for the proper lighting I think.

I have a Cibie unit in my CEV shell. The glass has the numbers E2 634 on it.I think Yam350 riders use them too.Seems to work.Probably difficult to find.I use a Phillips Vision Plus bulb.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll have to go for a replacement lamp as the 6" lens is going to be difficult to source.
If anyone has a complete lamp let me know.
