Wiring indicators

Post by 3potjohn »

I have been rewiring my 350 K1, using some spare loom bits as some wiring had been cut off in the past. I have some non standard mini indicators. The old ones are too heavy.
It seems I have a couple of wires going to the indicators, Grey/Black to the left and Green/black to the right. Straightforward enough. About 50cm from the end terminals are a couple of female spade connectors on Blue wires which is earth. I appreciate there are separate earth leads for each side, presumably because of the rubber mounted headlight brackets. Should these connectors be best located inside the headlamp, behind it or similar? Why can't I just run a single earth to both indicators. Tidy tidy tidy!
I hate all this spaghetti even if I can spell it correctly. I rarely see another Morini to compare.
I do want to be able to venture out in rain with a degree of confidence, having had a le Mans in 1979 I am familiar with the misery of it all.( I know it's an ITALIAN bike so what should I expect)
