I have. 3 1/2 sport 1979. On the way to the MOT yesterday the rev counter stopped working. I've check the wiring through and the fuses. The connections look ok. Anyone know how I test to see if it is the unit its self?

The first thing to check are your earths. Make sure that the earth to the counter is good. After that check the condition of the other leads back to the bike. It could be faulty but it is more likely to be a wire.

You could try & plug it into the opposite transducer to see if that fixes it.
