Supercharged Morini Struggles in the Race Season Opener

Post by smotorboy »

Hello All,

The Baron Team is still looking to set a record at El Mirage unfortunately ,,,, 119.8 mph was the best we could do...

11 mph crosswind put the Bike into a "Weave' at high speed and things got a little interesting north of 110 mph .., luckily, turning into the wind, as much as the course would allow, kept it from building up to an unsafe level

I was looking out for such an instability as bike with large side area are known to exhibit such tendencies....

Looks like testing in calm conditions is going to be required to insure it is at least ok in calm air,,, It might not be......

We did have the best looking bike at the meet at least.....

I'm sure there's no junk inside it, but it IS a big trunk. (The bike looks great.)

Yes there is...

Sandwiches, bottle of water, waterproofs, spare underwear... I'd need some if I had a weave over 110!
