Front brake refresh with Venhill.

Post by fatnfast »

The postie brought me some bits and bobs to sort out the front brake on my Sport.
I have just fitted some Tarozzi clip-on risers, which make all the difference, giving a comfy(er) ride that gels better with the footpegs.
Whilst doing this I thought I would have a peek at the brake fluid. Not a good colour! Image
I bled the fluid through until clear again. The jar of waste fluid is a 50/50 mix of the old and new. Image
With the old setup bled through, the caliper pistons were pumped out a little and given a clean. They looked in good nick.
On with the Suzuki GS125 master cylinder and a new Venhill hose. It's all bled through and is now sitting with the brake lever tied back to remove any remaining air. The brake action feels good and it was easy to bleed.
