Strada in Grey?

Hello, I just joined the club after acquiring a 3 1/2 Strada. I imagine this will be the first of several appeals for help. As acquired the bike (77 wire wheels etc) has gunmetal colour tank and side panels (amateur spray job) and a green seat, was this ever a colour option? It's been off the road since 2005 so probably is not widely known though is now in regular use. Thanks. Andy

Hi Andy and wellcome :D

A green seat will be something very special indeed, maybe worth keeping it  So youvé got a front wire wheel with one disc and steel rims? A nice model, congratulacions

Perhaps the original tank/side panels colour was silver? Any trace of an old colour under the tank or behind the side panels? The tank and side panels probably had black pin stripes.

A green seat wouldn't be original.

Hi Norbert, it's a drum brake model. I'll try to post a picture, seems the file is too large, so maybe a link. https://nis.nikonimagespace.com/html/gu ... 5fD3KvXbEg

Unusual, but looks good, so why not?

It looks much better in the picture than I imagined from the description.

This is probably the colour scheme it had when new, but it looks good enough as it is... How does it go?

If I can give my opinion I would say that the original colour scheme for Andy's Bike is one of the following:

It depends on frame's number.

Chris, it runs fine, needed the carbs cleaning, new jets and seals and good to go. I'm planning to gradually improve it while using it. I'll be more comfortable when I've had the belt replaced as it must be at least 10 years old. I've watched the YouTube video but will hand over to a specialist, NLM or the place in Sussex I guess?

Showing my ignorance, not sussex, Salisbury, Moto Corsa advertise in ATG. Anyone used them? NLM seem to be the real Morini specialists but I'm much closer to Salisbury.

Here's my gray 77' Strada:

The tank lines are different for some models - mine has rounded line, while some are more edgy. Also, mine is a more "classic" model, with the old style covers, exhaust guard, lots of polished aluminium ect. Models with the electric starter had more black parts and more square covers.
