1974 Strada Footrests

Here are the footrests on my machine. The one on the Left will fit both sides but the one on the Right will not due to insufficient curvature. The parts book suggests that the same footrest is fitted to both sides which suggests that the one on the Left is correct but it also seems to show this style of footrest with the flattened end as being fitted to the Sport. So, is the one on the Left correct for both sides and any idea what the one on the Right is from? Thanks.

I guess the one on the left side is for the cover of the electric starter. Using the smaller cover of the old engines without electric starter maybe the right one fits on both sides, I´m not sure, but maybe it´s like this.

The Sport has slightly more rearset footpegs. The right hand side one, I believe, has a pivot for the gear change.

You may find you have a Sport left side and a Strada either side peg!

These are the footrest of both early Strada and Sport (round ends). The blu one and the "Big drum" as we call it ("Tamburone")

These are of later Sport:

and the later both Sport and Strada with electric starter:

I think you have the right footrest on the right side and a 1978 right side footrest on the left side.
What I don't understand is if you are riding with feet in different positions.
1974 frame has simmetrical fits for footrests on both sides.

Sorry I'm afraid I am wrong
I don't know what you have on the right side...Either is shortened or is some other model unknown to me.

Thanks, everyone and especially P&S for the very clear photos. Yes, I have been riding with the left foot slightly in front of the right for some years but have only now decided to investigate and do something about it. I now know what to look for so thanks again.

If you are not too much a philologist I would suggest to look for the sport Tipe (the middle picture.)
Are much more confortable.
