Wiring diagram NLM ignition system

Post by Steve Brown »

Hi all, I'd be grateful if someone can post a wiring diagram for the NLM transducer/pick up set please?
I just removed the complete set from my 350 without making any notes. I thought I had the paperwork that was supplied with the kit but now I can't find it!
I want to use this set on another bike so would appreciate either a list of the colours/connections or a copy of the NLM instructions. If you have something you can email I'll send you my email address. Thanks in anticipation!

Assuming the later two cable bunch type:

4 wire bunch [longer HT lead]
Red - red from pickup
Green - green from stator
Brown - connection on coil
White - earth tag

5 wire bunch [shorter HT lead]
Red - black from pick up
Black - connection on rear coil
Yellow - tacho if present
White - earth tag on coil
Blue - earth on frame

Black / red pickup connection description is for NLM type pickup. For an OEM red type 'red' = front cylinder ( '1' label on lead ).

That's perfect thanks Pete. I'll paste a note into my blue book now-or maybe even store a copy on the computer!
