Strada tank panel

Post by Sicxtyone »

Hi all,
Looking for the correct black, Matt, satin, gloss, for the tank panels/side panels on my 1976 Strada. I only have one grainy picture from 1979 when I originally got the bike, was the 76 model the only year that had these large side panels on the tank? Also this bike has the cast ally headlamp brackets, particular to this year?
Not seen too many pictures of this year and model.
Also is there a white pin stripe around the black.
Thanks.

The lamp brackets are in fact particular to that year and the year before, as the fork.
The Paioli tipe.

Thank you P&S you have excelled yourselves. I'm obviously biased but to me it just looks right!
I think a satin black would be good for the panels? Also the way they finish at the back of the tank, a great help.
Do you still have the bike? Have you done any work to it?
Kind regards
Graham

That is not my bike.
I collect pictures of original paintworks of 3 1/2s
If you need more details let me know.
Now enjoy this original factory picture.
That model came also in gold and in red.

The publicity photo is a good reference for cable runs, as well as looking smashing!

It would be interesting to know of this resource, I only know of classictransfers.co.uk that have quite a few Morini items.

A factory sales brochure for this model (it shows the Sport and the Strada) shows a Strada with the silver and black paint but it also shows a Strada with gold and black paint, which looks very nice. I'm a techno-peasant, but perhaps someone else can post a picture.

P&S: the picture you have posted of the gold and black bike is the same picture in the Moto Morini factory sales brochure.
