Flywheel Holder

Post by Vitesse »

I don't suppose anyone in the Midlands has one I could borrow for about 10 minutes! 1977 350 Sport - no electric start.

I've tried locking the bike in gear (clutch not holding enough) and a strap wrench on the flywheel but to no joy. Need to do a cambelt change so I can send my friend his puller back!

At Morano-sul-po rally in Italy two men a wheel brace and a mallet undid the nut on my wifes 250 2C after the belt snapped

If your clutch slips trying to undo the flywheel nut you have another problem to resolve!

I use a 700mm breaker bar on the nut using Norbert's method.

It hasn't been on the road since an NLM rebuild in 2010 (hence the need for a new belt despite no miles on this one) so I'm sure I will have several problems thank you.
