Good, that makes sense; didn't want to pull it apart and could only see the ends of the threads in the yokes from underneath. Photos taken and emailing them and measurements shortly.
Unfortunately never seen a parts book for K2 specifically, only for earlier models so end up guessing as you know!

The pics are from my 1983 K2. The two hex bolts are M6. The M6 pillar standoffs are 20mm deep.
