Resistor caps and NLM CDI and coils.

Post by MoriniMike »

After a long time I’m now looking at my 350 sport with NLM cdi and coils. What resistor caps and plugs are recommended on a standard engine. All input gladly appreciated.

Both mine with the NLM setup run NGK 5k caps and Iridium plugs. No issues. The small extra price for the plugs is worth it in my experience, but others use standard plugs. On a 3540 in a 250 access is tight so I don't want to have to fiddle with them very often. A few quid is worth it for me but YMMV.

Same as 72degrees says. I asked at NLM some time ago and they said their system was fine with resistor plugs and caps. A 5k ohm cap resistor is pretty standard.

What iridium plugs actually? Is that a resistor plug and resistor cap together?
