Strada 1980 Bulb-Indicator Query

Post by funsize »

Can I confirm (or otherwise..) the square idiot light bulbs are T5 286 as the blue/parts book only says pilot?
Also, is it feasible that because I broke one of the bulbs as it smashed falling out of the holder that the indicators should stop working? That’s what seems to have happened.. :?

T5 is right. Don’t know about the problem indicators but someone else will. You cannot substitute an LED without some effort in that position.I have used them in lights and high beam but took them out as too bright at night. I do have some red ones as instrument backlights, which look nifty ( as my mum would have said).

Thanks John I’ll order some, I’m convinced it’s a coincidence but my indicators always worked-though flash a bit quick-but soon as I’ve a bulb missing in the idiot cluster they stop working 😂

I've got LEDs in my instrument lights (green) and in all idiot lights except the indicator one.
Work a treat.
