Hi all,
Where do i get replacement steering head bearings? Mine are pretty notchy so i suspect i'll need ball bearings as well as the race.

Dismantle and check before buying races. They may just need a clean up. If they have not been serviced for a while, the grease hardens. You can buy loose balls on ebay. I bought a pack of 50 for not a lot of money.

As Micky says, give them a long hard stare first. If they are slightly notched and you can't find replacements ( I think the races are hard to find now) then clean them and put them back in a slightly different position. Just getting the notched parts out of alignment works quite often-a proper bodge that works!
If they really are bad then they can be precision ground to give the right profile again without going through the hardness. It is a skilled engineers job though-not on your bench grinder!
