Repainting

Post by jones3321 »

Hi,

I am planning a repaint of my '76 Sport. Has antone an experience of using the stickers for the black and white elements on the tank and side panel? Then does anyone know where to source the chrome trip for the base of the tank ?

Thanks in advance,

Alastair

i used the stickers for the rebuild of my 350 sport,
from a distance it looks nice , up close it is pretty obvious it is a sticker.
the vinyl is quite thick.
so nice for a rider , but not for a restauration.

Hi

The 'chrome' strips have been discussed on here previously. IIRC they can be sourced from a firm ca!!ed Phoenix at Uffculme near Cullompton. If I find the topic I will edit this to include their site address. Edit: Phoenixtrim.co.uk

TBH, I remember reading that the almost-exact chrome strip is also available on a roll from Halfrauds. (If you're in the UK)
