Givi tanklock

Post by mbmm350s »

Hi,
Anyone know if there is a compatible Givi tanklock part for Milano/Super Scrambler. Doesn't seem to be listed but likely same as some other bike.

Cheers

I guess its not easy/possible as these models the fixings are hidden inside,
rather than removable screws outside.

I wonder if the whole unit can be changed? However, the neck and overflow would need to be replicated.

No, that was a Cagiva product, the front part of the fairing which appeared on the Coguaro! :)

I contacted SW-mototech and yes that is what is done for some BMWs such as R 1200.
You get a new aluminium outer ring/neck to replace the existing one as well as the bag locking ring.
However the inner 4 screws are in different location so they couldn't help.
The new ring has captive nuts rather than tapped holes in the aluminium which make sense.
