Re: Granpasso, 3 1/2 Strada and Smurfify your Excalibur
I got myself a Scrambler, which is one of the reasons for selling the GP (which I find far more comfy btw)

The Scrambler or the Granpasso is more comfortable?

The Granpasso has a better riding position, but I went for the looks

Morini should be selling a shed load of these things.

Their marketing department is non-existent it seems. In NL it isn't even imported, I got mine from Italy myself.
It is not named Scrambler for EU-homologation but 02. That's it.
Funny thing is that my insurance doesn't have it on it's files so according to them it's a 9 1/2 Sedan

Yes, this is the nicest model yet, it is a shame the new Morini is not doing so well, they deserve better i guess

Hombre,
The new Morinis are not imported anywhere.
There are three service centres in NL - http://www.motomorinimotorcycles.eu/ind ... m_services
That is if the list is up to date....

Mike, Hombre;
For a new one the process is pretty straightforward - Nick wrote a piece about it a little while back for ATG. Basically, you choose your colour combinations, pay a deposit and the rest when the bike is ready to ship....
The bike can then either be collected from Italy or sent to an in-country service centre. There are 3 in the UK; Steffords, Moto Corsa and NLM. They prepare the bike and both dealer and customer does "some paperwork". That's the difficult bit, because the owner has to NOVA the bike (at least, I understand that's what Nick did) and then the bike has to be registered, which requires a Certificate of Compliance and other stuff. It makes you start to appreciate some of the hidden work of an importer, to whom that sort of stuff would be bread and butter...
