Drum braked Strada

Post by EVguru »

One or two projects need to go and I also have a series 1 Strada to rebuild, so this later one is unlikely to get done.

The engine currently in the frame is a slightly tired Sport version I loaned to the previous owner. The bike would come with the original engine stripped down for rebuild. Although the crankcase number matches that of the frame, it also has an 'S' mark, but the internals were of Strada spec. Just one of those mysteries of Morini production!

I'm looking for £1500.

There is no current MOT. The bike was last on the road in 2009, in fact it probably last turned a wheel in anger at that years MRC trackday, the Avon Roadriders still bear the evidence. They probably only have a few hundred miles on them.

I have the V5C in my name.

Yes, the bike is still for sale. If you're going to Stafford, come and have a chat on the club stand.

Hello Paul, and thanks for your response. I'm not going over to Stafford this year so sadly won't see you there. Just to be clear about the bike, it has a 'tired' sport engine now, which I assume runs. But also comes with the original engine for rebuild. Best Mark

I was planning to keep the 'loaner' Sport engine, I just didn't take it out for the pictures.

OK thanks for clarifying that. Clearly not as attractive on that basis. But I do understand. I'll have a think, but probably not a great buy for me at the moment. best Mark

See what happens when you ride the club's Strada round the TT course? It's addictive!

Dangerous things plans. They can lead to irresistible garage vacuum effects.
