E bay bargain

Post by dunk 1 »

Interesting bike on e bay at the moment -I think it might be so valuable because of the extra wheels - perhaps it's a prototype of one of those 4 wheel moped things-Duncan

Sales bull.

Rare? Hmm. Rising prices? Hmmmmm.

Any of the others on ebay would be much better value and available now. Too many spares required.

I think the decimal point is in the wrong place. No haggling, mind.

Just my opinion.

For sale. Rare Morini Strada. Prices gone stratospheric. £1,000,000. No offers, please. This will sell really quickly, so get in quick.

I read somewhere that this freddy gets the bikes that DK don't want. That's only good for spares, at retail prices it would be uneconomic to get on the road.

Wait, they shipped this from the US to the UK? It might have been worth their asking price once you subtracted the transatlantic shipping costs, I would think. In any case, they're going in the wrong direction. We desperately need more Morinis to come up on the block over here.

I have experience of the seller. Travelled 120ml to collect a Bridgestone then found a hole in the engine side casing so did not continue with the purchase. No complaint from him at the time then he raised a dispute with ebay saying I was a time waster,no intention of buying etc. 240ml trip at 17mpg? I think not!
Good luck if you buy it,no doubt he can be ok to deal with but I avoid his machines nowadays.

Nobody noticed the 'issue' with the rear frame rack? Maybe the reason that it is in bits and that they have plunged a later type seat on top of it?

Is it bent upwards? Been rear ended?

Yep it's a 500, 14 cooling fins instead of 12. Frame does look strange indeed...
