E bay bargain
E bay bargain
Interesting bike on e bay at the moment -I think it might be so valuable because of the extra wheels - perhaps it's a prototype of one of those 4 wheel moped things-Duncan

it is a stunner. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moto-Morini-3 ... Sw4DJYgk3d
Maybe the seller's other fine 350 would be a match. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-RD350- ... SwA3dYf3j4

Re: E bay bargain
Sales bull.
Rare? Hmm. Rising prices? Hmmmmm.
Any of the others on ebay would be much better value and available now. Too many spares required.
I think the decimal point is in the wrong place. No haggling, mind.
Just my opinion.
For sale. Rare Morini Strada. Prices gone stratospheric. £1,000,000. No offers, please. This will sell really quickly, so get in quick.

I read somewhere that this freddy gets the bikes that DK don't want. That's only good for spares, at retail prices it would be uneconomic to get on the road.

Re: E bay bargain
Wait, they shipped this from the US to the UK? It might have been worth their asking price once you subtracted the transatlantic shipping costs, I would think. In any case, they're going in the wrong direction. We desperately need more Morinis to come up on the block over here.
Re: E bay bargain
I have experience of the seller. Travelled 120ml to collect a Bridgestone then found a hole in the engine side casing so did not continue with the purchase. No complaint from him at the time then he raised a dispute with ebay saying I was a time waster,no intention of buying etc. 240ml trip at 17mpg? I think not!
Good luck if you buy it,no doubt he can be ok to deal with but I avoid his machines nowadays.

Re: E bay bargain
Nobody noticed the 'issue' with the rear frame rack? Maybe the reason that it is in bits and that they have plunged a later type seat on top of it?
Re: E bay bargain
that looks like a 500 cc engine?
or at least 500 cc cylinders.
makes you wonder....

Is it bent upwards? Been rear ended?Tom wrote:Nobody noticed the 'issue' with the rear frame rack? Maybe the reason that it is in bits and that they have plunged a later type seat on top of it?
Re: E bay bargain
Yep it's a 500, 14 cooling fins instead of 12. Frame does look strange indeed...
Re: E bay bargain
Ah! I only see the downside, blimey, it is a 500!
going to clean my glasses now
