I am in contact with the seller. There is something dodgy btw: the ad is inactivated daily and reposted every morning... :?

Just a caveat emptor, I have bought from "seems OK" guys in two small vehicle clubs and have received sub-standard parts with issues not fully disclosed in both cases.

Just because somebody shares your taste in wheels DOES NOT make them automatically trustworthy. Treat them as you would a stranger.

Ask exact questions - do not allow implications that prey on buddy-buddy trust.

I think this is the same guy Tom bought a bike from, he's on markets all through Europe. I ran into him in Novegro and Wieze. But not sure if it is the same guy...

I only said it was available!
Though a low-mileage Sport must be worth considering?
I have bought from him and am happy enough - I went through plenty of photos beforehand and it was MY choice to buy.
I won't flag-up any more though if it makes people uneasy.

Fair call, but it doesn't make me uneasy at all, probably because I've been burnt and am now a less trusting buyer. Others, however, might be really trusting and get ripped off.

Another poster has said he thinks "there is something dodgy" but please don't let that stop you posting - we all has to learn!

Say what? ;) The engine was totally destroyed inside, but he said beforehand that the engine was making a strange noice, so that counts to me as honest

It was a 350 Excalibur by the way, but I would have liked to have kept the engine

Please do keep posting Bob, no problem. We are all responsible for our own actions ;)
I still don't know if it's the same seller, but if it is he sells for fair prices...

Strange thing is that the Excalibur had a Sport-engine built in, we picked it up in Wieze, the downtubes are now on my VAlentini-experiment :D
