501 excalibur

Post by Ming »

This has been for sale for some time now at €1000 with no takers. A bit too far for me to travel (and I'm being tempted by something big and green with sticky-out cylinders...)
Could be of interest to someone?

I owned one and it rode really well. But you don't see it when riding. Best thing I did was put the engine in a Strada frame!

Let's just say they had a certain...je ne sais quoi. I rebuilt one. Rode it. Sold it.

Never took one picture of it the whole time l owned it - which probably speaks volumes. :?

I had one briefly, the first time my wife saw it, she said, "it looks like it was made by a drunk bloke from old car parts" couldn't have put it better myself.
However I have now got a New York, which is when he had started to sober up a little bit, not much mind.

Now I quite like the New York, but then l once owned a Ducati Indiana; a real dog's breakfast of a bike. An ltalian Virago! Had one of those too. Shhhh!

My Excalibur snapped its side stand in the van on the way home and the relationship was never really the same after that...
