Scrambler for sale £5,000
I've agonized over this for 12 months and still not sure I'm doing the right thing but .......... here is the advert I've prepared for general release, although I will initially just put it on here for a few days.
For sale Moto Morini Scrambler 1200, very rare with only approx 11 in the UK and I believe only 2 bikes in the white and red colours https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/m ... er#!newreg
As standard the bike comes with the glorious Morini V-twin engine (115 bhp), Brembo brakes, Takasago/Excel spoked wheels, Marzocchi forks and Paioli rear shock.
It is 2010 registered with 9k miles on the clock, MoT until July 2021 and hpi clear.
The V5 logbook is here, registered in my name, at my address since April 2017 and showing 1 former keeper.
I bought the bike from a friend who purchased it new (original purchase invoice included) so I have known it from new. The bike is kept in a carpeted garage, under a bike cover and on an optimate charger.
The tyres (Anakee 2's) are worn with approximately 1k miles of life left in them so enough for you to ride and enjoy the bike before deciding which tyres you want. Although the bike is called a 'Scrambler' to my knowledge it has never been ridden on anything but smooth roads. Certainly in my ownership I have only used it for long weekend UK trips and Sunday morning breakfast rides where it always gets attention.
However, having only done 14 miles in the last year I feel it is time to move on, especially as Grandparent duties are now vying for my attention. So instead of keeping it tucked up in a garage (increasing in value) maybe it's time to let somebody else take up the reigns.
Location is South Leicestershire (outside the lockdown zone)
Price is £5,000
