Having received my frame back from powder coating I find that both downtubes are seriously crushed. The coating company believes the damage was hidden by filler hence it now becomes visible. A very tough one to prove either way! In my opinion the frame is scrap.
If this proves to be the case does anyone have a frame, circa 1975?preferably with v5 but not essential. Thanks, John

I have managed to take next monday as a day off and intend to go to sandbach to collect my forks after chroming. I see it is only about 12 miles to your area so it would be of advantage if I could combine visits.
Is there any opportunity for me to collect the frame from you or a trusted friend that day? I assume the frame number matches the v5?
