Camel sidepanels and fork stanchions still needed

Post by Van883 »

I managed to get a seat for my Camel-now I need the elusive sidepanels-someone must have some somewhere!
Anyone got any 38mm fork stanchions?

cheers

Hi,
Morini and KTM used almost the same Marzocchi forks. I have replaced mine with one. There are probably more KTM's around so maybe you should try that direction.
Two years ago I bought sidepanels (and a tank!) at Luzzi in Siena, don't know if he still has some.
I am still on the lookout for a centrestand so if you happen to stumble upon one...

Best,
Hans

You'll probably need to send him a fax. Get back to you asap on this.

That's too bad. He doesn't have e-mail. If anyone has a fax near to use (unfortunately I don't have one either), I sent an Italian translation to Van to use. This might become an international effort this one! :-)

I can only assume they are no spare sidepanels left in the world! Or instrument housings....

Unless anyone knows better!

Hi
Thanks for the kind offer-looking at pictures I think the frames are very different so I'll pass on this for now.

cheers

I've got some side panels available. They're not quite the same as the original Mk1. They're from about 1983 and have integral number plates. The frame looks the same and it's twin shock, so I would think that the mounting points are the same.
Sorry, no instrument housing.
