WTB: Pair of transducers (black) for 350K2

Post by AntietamClassicCycle »

Ground wires have rotted off of a customer's 350K2 transducers, not even a stub left to splice a wire onto. Anyone have a good pair for sale?

I seem to recall that the white (Bianco) connection on the transducer is also an earth - can you use that? (Or am I mistaken?)

Yes, the white wire terminal is internally connected to earth.

The wire that has "rotted off" is the potted in white(?) ground wire. The transducer needs that to function, correct?

The potted in wire with a ring terminal on the end was an earth and would have been blue or at least blue-ish originally.

The 'Bianco' terminal is also an earth terminal and you can simply run a wire from there to the earth bolt.

Exactly!
Normaly the two white terminals are conected to avoid earth-problems in case that one of the original blue (or brown) earth-wires is out of order.

Great! Thanks guys. The customer will be happy that I may not have to spend all of his money on the ignition. :D

Won't be needing the transducers after all. Made little "Y" harnesses to connect the white terminals to the ground and it now has bright blue sparks! :D Thanks to all that responded.
