Fuel tank

Hello folks,
Just gave the tank on my new project a clean out with acid, it was a terrible mess inside, been left outside for goodness knows how long outside, without a petrol cap on it. Strangely the bottom of the tank is OK, but the top and back resemble a colander !. So, if anyone has a tank for a cast wheel sport or I assume Strada (the same?) late 1978, but the same tank as my 1977 model. If not I'll embark on a cleaning and brazing routine.
