Shopping for a Morini in the U.S.

I am on the lookout for a Heron-head bike located in the US or Canada. Willing to consider any size, style, model year and condition. Okay with a basket case or even individual major parts that would allow me to cobble together a bitsa. I'm located in Kansas City. Just putting out feelers here because they show up on Craigslist and Ebay so sporadically on this side of the Atlantic.

Not in a huge rush to buy, but a Moto Morini has been a bucket list bike for me since 1980 and I haven't gotten around to owning one, so I'm thinking it's probably high time I gave the idea a bit more concerted effort.

Well, after moaning about all the bikes on offer over there, this one pops up on Ebay in California. 130 miles on it? That's probably as cherry a find as I'll ever see. I guess this is where I have to put up or shut up.

The machine in the photo from Bike October 1980 road test still lives - but not as a 250 ;)

keeping gas in the tank faded the paint
....better empty those tanks, guys

Certainly a nice looking bike and only 130 miles so seems a reasonable buy (??).

Looks like it's time to end your 37 year wait!
They are nice little bikes, even if not a 350.
