350 Strada wanted

Post by keith55 »

Sorry guys - reposted in the correct forum - My K2 feels rather lonely.

Am beginning a search for a fairly original 3.5 Strada. Must be mechanically sound, patina welcomed and happy to take on a light recommissioning project. Preferably located within the UK and even more preferably within 100 miles of Bath. Wonder whats out there?

Thanks Papa. Yes, I have looked closely at Archie's Strada. An excellent restoration but a little above my budget!

Well, there's money pit on Ebay. Or a very reasonably priced Kanguro.

Just be gently reminded that a cheaper bike that "just needs a few things doing" is 9 times out of 10 going to cost more than a bike as well-sorted as Archie's looks.

What was that proverb about the quality remaining long after the price has been forgotten?

Agree with bikes turning out more costly than people think (or persuade themselves to believe); the bike you mention is ok but nothing striking tbf.
