Wanted- for the club strada

Post by morini_tom »

Who is able to help a good cause?

The club strada needs a new electric fuel tap. we know the orlandi taps are hard to come by, but it would be nice for the club bike to retain some of its original morini qualities!

Our tap has a broken connector on the solenoid but was otherwise working ok. We'll try to repair but if anyone has one squirrelled away (or bits of one) we would be grateful.

I have a complete one Tom. Think it works too.So if that one can't be repaired you know where I am if it's needed.

Hello I have one I took off and replaced with a better one after it had some leak-by issues - presuming the rubber had degraded - as I remember everything else seemed to work fine and it was easy enough to get open so you should be able to make one good one out of the two - and if mine goes again its going to get a non electric tap so I wont need it - PM me with an address if you want it and I'll send it off - thanks - Duncan

Wait a second...there's a "club strada?"

Does that mean if I get myself across the Atlantic I can ride it?

Yep, there certainly is, and it's a lovely little bike. Nicely patina'd and mechanically sorted.

It's been touring the U.K. having little holidays with club members in celebration of the ckub's 40th anniversary.

It even had a stay with the excellent Real Classic Magazine here in the UK, and is the September issue 'cover girl'

Well The club strada is able to drink again, thank you Duncan for your generosity, and Steve for the offer.

May the Gods Lafranconi, Orlandi and Dellorto look favourably upon you,

On behalf of the club, Thank you.
