In Dulcinea I´ve put the front wheel from a Benelli Tornado. I´ll have a look at the numer of the rim next time I go to the garage. I guess it´s a bit wider than the rims for the morini (not sure). The brake is the same apart of the wings for cooling.

But right now I´m trying to mount a dobledisc with a 13 mm pump like I have it in Rocinante because I´m willing to do a trip down to spain this year. That means about 10 days of 500km mountan lanes each, and therefore I prefer to have a real good brake

Don´t know if you realy can see it: WM2/18 RECORD RM01/4700
The rim of my dobledisc: WM2/1.85 - 18/36 RECORD RM-01 -4792

I was wrong, the rim of the drumbrake is about 3 mm narrower. I´m riding 90/90 on both wheels (not sure if allowed, but I´ve got it in my papers  )

good luck hunting for a Borrani rim

The spoke angle would be wrong for a double drum, otherwise it's the right rim.

I think it wasn't mentioned here yet, and for the archive/ for what our grand children will aks for in the year 20...

The number of the 'double drum' Borrani wheel is:

Borrani WM2 ' 18 Record RM 01 4623

Strangly enough, i also found a wider Borrani WM3 18 RM 01 4623/ 1 as a front '230' drum rim, which is basicly the same one as the '180' drummed rear wheel rim...may i confuse you for ever

Hope it helps

Thanks Tom,

I put a notification on ebay, and amazingly within a couple of months an unused one came along that a chap had had in his loft for the past 40 years, just waiting for that special project that never happened. Seek and ye shall find (if your lucky)

It never hurts to ask.
