350 bits

Post by MickeyMoto »

Hello,

I am looking for the following, please, for winter restoration purposes. Salt on roads, so fettling time.

A later 350 tank (K series). I have one, maybe two, spare early tanks for exchange or sale.

Also a pair of chain adjusters.

Anybody got a fairing? The squarish original one?

A 500 choke lever.

Silencer brackets.

Thanks,

Mike.

check the fairing I have for sale: http://morini-riders-club.com/forum/vie ... f=5&t=5246

Also got a K2 tank looks very nice except water dripped off on one side for years and went into the bottom trim. now there is a rusted spot that needs repair. If you can salvage the tank cap for me (I don't have a key but maybe you know how to get one) the tank is for free. I'll try and make pictures tonight

choke lever from a K2 is identical to a 500?

Blimey I had a K1 fairing with an oblong hole for the headlamp sitting around for about 11 years and only sold it a month or so ago.
Best of luck. John

Choke lever, do you mean the handle bar, cable type? I have one of those.

Thank you for the offers of fairings and a tank.

I may be sorted for a fairing now. I was a bit dubious about shipping costs from NL.

I have the chain adjusters and the silencer brackets, too.

I am really looking for a K tank, which is different to the K2 and has the bolt hole at the rear. I have looked at some today, but may wait until the bike is on its way, restoration wise.

I wouldn't worry about that, I've bought a few bits from the low countries and the cost has always been very reasonable. I think it's the UK couriers that dress like Dick Turpin sometimes. Oh and the American ones too. Must still be a lot of stagecoach hold ups over there?

I'll put a choke lever aside for you, I should have everything apart from the cables. The choke piston rubbers will be a bit dubious though...

Thank you. That is a K2 tank by the way. Shame as it looks in good condition and the price is good.
