Hi everyone, putting out a desperate shout for a pick up (the red one) for a 1981 Morini 500. I've contacted Mdina Italia but they want the best part of five hundred quid for a new system, may consider it later but my pocket money won't stretch that far at the moment so a new/reconditioned/used pick up is the only viable option. Can anyone help me out? Desperate to get back on the road. Neil

I have a good used second series red pickup ( metal strips approx. 7-8mm wide).
You need the later type of magnet for this one...

Hi, thanks, I think mine is a first series, not sure if a second series pick up would be good to go, transducers and pick ups for Morinis appear to be a minefield. I'd be more than interested in yours if it would work.It's a steep learning curve with Morini ignition! Can anybody out there please advise?

The left hand image under pickups-'electronic ignition' in the Dutch Morini site shows the difference between the early and later versions and their magnets.
