Gear shift lever for 250 vee

Post by buzby »

Can anybody help me with this ? It seems to be unique to this model. The lever pivots on the footpeg and connects to a linkage. The part number is 450251.
thanks, Dave.

Ming had one off me that I had slung in the spares shed years ago. They do appear to be currently unobtanium even on Ebay.it. The good news is that if you can only find one with a very worn pivot they can be re-bushed fairly easily.

A skilled welder could probably fabricate one from tube from a drawing and dimensions.

Heh, heh. I do have the 'modified' assembly that came with the bike. It could be repaired with a bit of skilful welding (it's the one on the right).
