Scrap seamed silencers?

Post by Bison »

Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a pair of seamed type silencers which are pretty much past using.
I have a good pair of silencers which have been chopped about where the exhaust pipes enter, they were made to fit a 500, I thought if I could salvage the very front bit of a rusted out pair, I could cut and weld?. If not, I'll have to fabricate, I thought it might be easier to attempt it they way I described.
Thanks,
Alan.

I’ve got the (rusty) clamps somewhere too if you need them.
