K Luggage Rack

Post by Al Limite »

Hello All,
Does anybody have a luggage rack that will fit a 1981 K Sport 350 without having to remove and not use the painted trim that runs from side panels to rear tail light fairing? Alternatively can anyone supply the horizontal platform and bracketry to attach to a Polini derived metal rack ( which I have already found )
Thank you

I looked for such a rack for ages without success (although I have pictures of ones fitted so they do exist). I ended up buying a Givi universal fitting kit (1000F) which I had to adapt a bit but does work OK. Best of luck in your search.

My 87 K2 Classic had a Givi rack and pannier mounts. I acquired that in 1995 though so perhaps Givi were still doing specific Morini fittings then.

Thank you Dave and 72, it may well be ( unless some kind soul has what I need ) that I will need to consider the Givi 1000F route. Anybody got an image of a Givi universal system fitted to a K series?

This was my effort.

I should have mentioned that I had to remove the "lifting handle" but the rack itself is a decent substitute.

Sorry, not got one showing the mounting arrangements, but here's one of my K2 all loaded up using it and on le Shuttle in the early days when each machine was nestled in its own support, all in a dedicated last motorcycle carriage - errm 1995. If the first Class 9 locos were bikes they would be VMCC eligible !
