Front brake light switch?

Post by jeanster »

Is there supposed to be a front brake light switch? Can't find one or any evidence of there ever being one on my 500 Strada. Thinking of fitting banjo switch same as and in parrallel with rear brake system. Can you get a MOT without one? :?:

My 500-6 has a front brake switch, it's in the casting that splits the single line from the lever into two seperate lines for each disc.
I think you just need a switch on the braking system to pass the MOT, can be front or rear. I know that used to be the case, they may have changed the rules though.

Thanks for that. That's where I was thinking of fitting a banjo switch. MOT asside, I think it makes sense to have both brakes switched.
