rear sprocket carrier bearing

Post by markw »

Hi

I need to remove the bearing from the rear sprocket carrier on my 500 sei-v.

Is it a case of heating the carrier and knocking out the bearing from inside ?

Any advice ?

thanks

I did mine a couple of years ago-actually I cannot recall a problem. I know I used large rawlbolts expanded in the wheel bearings, with copious boiling water on the hubs and knocked those out by tapping the rawlbolts. I think I must have done similar on the sprocket carrier? Should have made a note I guess
