In the process of rebuilding a set of marzocchi forks, any recommendations for fork oil.
The book says to used 200cc of oil, has anyone found different quantities to be more efficient?
Thanks
Fork Oil?
Re: Fork Oil?
Definitely put some in!500sport wrote:In the process of rebuilding a set of marzocchi forks, any recommendations for fork oil.
Probably start off with something like 15W and see how you like it. Different manufacturers fork oils vary so much that one 15W can be less viscous than another's 10W anyway.
I'm really not sure what you mean by 'efficient' here. The book says to used 200cc of oil, has anyone found different quantities to be more efficient?
At a minimum. the oil needs to cover the damper rod. Higher oil levels change the rate and progression of the air spring that exists above the oil.
