500 Sei -V

Post by Chippy »

Does anyone know where I can get new Sei-V transfers in red for my black 500. The panels need repainting but I need new transfers (stickers) to put on after I have repainted the side panels. Thanks

Thank you for your information!
I tried to open the link you reported, but I cannot see any image.
This is what appears on my screen.
I emailed them about the anomaly.

Is this the one you are looking for?

I have one, unused original sei-v sticker in black/gold (saving for that rainy day!)

If it's unavailable and in demand then I'm happy to take high resolution scans of it, or lend it to someone like classic transfers to replicate? Let me know if any use.

When I needed stickers for my dart, I photographed the original bodywork and then had them vectorised, but correcting for the curvature particularly on the tank was a pain. Much easier to copy a flat original!

As I said in another my discussion, my goal is the restoration of a Moto Morini SEI-V 500 I bought a few days ago.
The previous owner has repainted it completely, and the motorcycle is without any its original transfers.
The picture I'm posting shows a Moto Morini SEI-V 500 with the original livery; I wish to find all the necessary transfers.
I understand very well the difficulty of making "flat" an image from a curved image, and I appreciate your offer to provide me with a high resolution scan of the transfer you have.
If you can, please send me the scan to my email address.
One last curiosity: can you see some pictures on the following web page?

I'm still looking for any help for the transfers ...
On line I found this tranfsfers seller:
http://www.heortieg.com/moto-morini-transfers-100-c.asp ,
But they don't show any transfer for the SEI-V...

If you have an example of the transfers that you want then a printing shop like `pronto`print, can usually make the transfers for you. I have numerous 'Morini' and 500 transfers in all the combinations of front and background colours. I even got one place to modify the 500 to a 507 transfer. You can specify the length and height of the transfer the logo printed onto a film that has very a sticky back. You will get probably a dozen pairs for around £10 depending on where you go. You can leave them or if you are painting in base and lacquer, then put the transfers on before lacquering.

All;

If it's still relevant, Pedlers (the Dutch transfer people) advertise that they will be at the UK Stafford show this coming weekend. You could visit them after seeing Morinis on the Club stand!

Good riding,
