Diesel fuel as a corrosion inhibitor

Hi & a Happy New Year!

I've heard it said that putting a small measure of diesel in with a tank of unleaded can ease corrosion in fuel tanks? Any thoughts on this please folks? I should add that I know super unleaded inhibits corrosion...I'm just curious if the diesel thing is an old wives tale?

Cheers

Gary

use 2-stroke oil, 1:200
also helps beat some ethanol issues
but even better: coat, empty completly and store warm & dry or fill up untill the rim before putting it away
