Side panel badges

Post by Steve48 »

Hi, can anyone advise please how to safely remove and later re-place these badges. I need to re-spray one panel.
Thanks

Are they held by the clips or has someone added some gunk to hold them?

If just the clips, then you can pull the clips off, but I always break at least one of the 'pins'.

So I would be interested, too...

If you still have the clips and the pins are intact, then, cut them off and use new ones.

Thanks for the replies. All pins and clips are in place. There is also a round plastic blob in the middle of the four pins, don't know if this is important. Sounds tricky, guess I will have to give it a go.

Success, I sprayed the clips with WD40 and later, I was able to lift the tabs on the clips with a small screwdriver and off they came. The badge just popped off all pins intact. The plastic blob doesn't do anything.

That's good - the badges are as expensive to replace as many other parts! (Well, almost...)
