ignition keys

Post by adrianb »

Does anyone know where it might be possible to get an ignition key for a '79 500 cut from the lock code. I've tried a couple of motorbike key specialist places that came up in a google search but neither could help. I can get hold of blanks but don't have anything to copy from atm. Maybe an Italian site?

Cheers,

Adrian

Perhaps Keys4Classics could help? http://www.keys4classics.com/

+1 on Keys4Classics. I have bought from them multiple times. Always accurate, always good stuff.

Hi Adrian,
Don't know where you are in the world? However Pietro at Motori Di Marino in West Chiltington, West Sussex, England had a set of keys made for me from just the ignition barrel. It was for my AMF 250 Harley, he has a contact who does this and cost about £40 from memory. Hope this may help.
Regards
Graham.

Thanks Graham - I'm in Australia so I'm going to try out the keys4classics place first, but it's always useful to have the info on the forum.

UPDATE: Keys for classics came through with the goods!
