cam belt sizing

Post by joseb42 »

Virtualy every comercially available, including Mdina Italia, 124L075 cam belt I can find is a metric equivalent ie nominally 314.33mm.
That is with the exception of MEDWAY with a true 12.4 inches ie 314.96mm

as far is i know the 124 is the number of teeth on the belt ,
not the length in tenth of inches.

124 is the "outer circle" measurement, there are 33 teeth.

124L075 is the identificacion of the right belt. The Optibelt ones use to cost less than 10 €.
As they are industrial belts they are not measured but uce to fit. I´ve allways used them on B camshaft pinions without problems.
