Carb jet sizes

Post by acemorini »

Just got the old X3 Kangaro back on the road, after a bit of a lay up and went out on its first long ride today and noticed that there seemed to be quite a big stutter at 4000 / 5000 rpm which I have never noticed before, the carbs have been in the ultrasonic bath and I have always run it on shell v power fuel, I think that the jets are factory standard and I can not find any topics on the forum relating to Kangaro jetting, any body got any suggestions ?
Regards Pete.

4000/5000 is the classic range to get a stutter. The Dutch Club have a useful chart which may suggest what the standard jetting is.
I've usually found a stutter mid range responds to going a notch leaner on the needle.
