Oil seal quick help
please, quick help, I'm in the field and I need a dimension of oil seals on timing side
Re: Oil seal quick help
350 and 500/501
crankshaft right side: 30-40-7
Camshaft right side: 15-24-7
gear changing: 14-22-4 (or 5)
sprocket: 20-30-7
Have a look behind the alternator wether the three allen screws that hold the bearing carrier for the right hand crankshaft are loose. If so, this will be considerable oil-leak. Fit them with some silicone one by one. If you can heat up the small copper sealing washers on these screws to restore their sealing capacity, before refitting them. It would not be the first time that these screws are the reason and not the simmerring when you find oil on the alternator.
