Just spotted this on the bay. Not seen anything like it before. Is it a Morini?

Sort of, but no, not quite. It's an MM. The seller mentions it in his spiel, and the name comes from the two company founders, Mazetti and Morini. Apparently it was the same Alfonso Morini before he started Moto Morini.

Are you tempted? The seller tells a long story about not much substance and the price was eye watering the last time he listed it. Plenty of non original stuff-important at that price-but could probably be made into a nice enough
bike with a bit more cash thrown at it  Rare, but...........

A bit of a cross breed this one and not sure if it is worth the money.
Rare may be but I'm sure you would invest in a drum brake sport before spending money on this one.

Arthur Farrow (on this forum) had one and was not overly impressed as I seem to rememer. It is indeed a product of Afonso Morini (in his pre-Moto Morini incarnation) though I have no idea who did the actual design work.

There is actually a whopping great (Italian text) book on MM which would certianly be worth reviewing if anyoe was serious in buying, as that front end looks very post-1950s, rear light looks far too modern, etc, so it could be a bit of a bitsa (though could be wrong)
